This close-knit team is looking for an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to bring their clinical expertise and leadership to the practice. The ideal candidate will be a confident all-rounder with a strong commitment to patient care and team development. This role offers a fantastic work-life balance, with flexibility in working hours, including full-time, part-time, or flexible options, and only 1 in 3 Saturday morning shifts.
Located in Somerton and within easy reach of Langport, Yeovil, and Taunton, the clinic is situated in a charming period building equipped with the latest veterinary technology, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory machines, and multiparameter anaesthetic monitors.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding clinical care to patients and provide clear updates to clients
Uphold the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
Prepare accurate treatment plans and estimates for clients
Work alongside the Practice Manager to enhance commercial performance
Lead, mentor, and inspire the veterinary team, encouraging skill development and clinical excellence
Share and implement new practices and standards across the clinic
Required Skills and Experience:
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Proven clinical leadership skills and experience in providing exceptional patient and client care
Ability to foster a progressive clinical culture and improve commercial performance
Strong team player with experience in mentoring and coaching colleagues
Key Benefits:
£60,000 - £80,000 per year
