About the Role: As the Director of Specialty Medicine, you’ll lead a talented specialty team and ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across specialties. This role includes a two-day clinical schedule alongside two days for administrative responsibilities, providing a balanced approach to leadership. With 50% of your time spent managing cases within your specialty, you’ll stay connected to clinical practice while guiding the hospital’s strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support the specialty veterinary team, maintaining high patient care standards.

  • Lead specialty recruitment efforts, including travel to conferences and recruiting events.

  • Manage departmental budgets, compensation, and resource allocation.

  • Engage in strategic planning and foster leadership development within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification from an American or European College of Veterinary Specialties (small animal clinical specialty).

  • Over 3 years of post-residency experience in clinical small animal practice.

  • Managerial experience preferred; however, a motivated candidate eager to step into leadership is welcome.
