About the Role: As the Director of Specialty Medicine, you’ll lead a talented specialty team and ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across specialties. This role includes a two-day clinical schedule alongside two days for administrative responsibilities, providing a balanced approach to leadership. With 50% of your time spent managing cases within your specialty, you’ll stay connected to clinical practice while guiding the hospital’s strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the specialty veterinary team, maintaining high patient care standards.
Lead specialty recruitment efforts, including travel to conferences and recruiting events.
Manage departmental budgets, compensation, and resource allocation.
Engage in strategic planning and foster leadership development within the team.

Qualifications:
Board Certification from an American or European College of Veterinary Specialties (small animal clinical specialty).
Over 3 years of post-residency experience in clinical small animal practice.
Managerial experience preferred; however, a motivated candidate eager to step into leadership is welcome.
